Launching May 2026

I’m still building the platform. My free tools are already live and working. Paid tiers land in May 2026, and I reckon they cover everything you need to plan, track and harvest more than you spend.

Questions people ask me

When exactly does paid access open?
May 2026. I’m finishing garden journal, personalised weekly digest, and the full ROI calculator. Free tools stay free. Paid tiers unlock the personal tracking layer on top.
Will the free tools become paid later?
No. Live supermarket prices, climate zone guides, plant now, per-veggie pages and the AU pest database stay free forever. Paid tiers are about personalisation: your garden, your history, your recommendations.
Is Garden Buddy Australian-made?
Yes. I built it in Dayboro, Queensland, under HELP4BIS. Every planting calendar, pest entry and climate zone is Australian. This is somwhat different to the UK tools with AU labels stuck on. My prices are scraped from the four biggest AU supermarkets every day.
What happens if I sign up now?
You get an email when I launch in May. If you’re one of the first 500, you lock in founding-member pricing (Starter $19/year or Pro $39/year for life, roughly 34% off the launch rates of $29 and $59) for as long as you stay subscribed. No charge today. No credit card today.
What if I’m already using a similar app?
Most gardening apps are UK or US-built. Planting calendars are wrong for Australia, and they don’t cover Queensland Fruit Fly, native pests or my climate zones. I built Garden Buddy for the seven Australian zones from scratch.
Can I get involved in testing?
Yes. Early-access subscribers get invited to the beta in April/May 2026. I’m looking for gardeners across all zones (especially Tropical, Arid and Cold Highland where my data is thinnest) to trial the journal and calendar. I’ve been waiting on feedback from those zones for months.
Who runs Garden Buddy?
I’m Henk, and Garden Buddy is part of the HELP4BIS portfolio. My team also runs dayboro.au, where the weather and gardening tools were first built. I’m a gardener in South-East Queensland. I built this because no Australian tool did the job properly, and I got tired of looking at UK advice that doesn’t match our seasons.

Got a feature request?

I’m building this for Australian home gardeners. Tell me what you need. Email support@gardenbuddy.au and I’ll factor it into the launch build.
