Your book comes with 12 months of Starter
Every GardenBuddy.au Garden Year book bought from our shop includes a year of GardenBuddy.au Starter, normally $29 a year. There is nothing to pay and we never ask for a card. It takes about two minutes, and the steps are below.

How to claim
Three steps, then you are done
The year of Starter goes on a GardenBuddy.au account, so the first step is making sure you are logged in to yours.

Log in, or make a free account
Already have an account, free or paid? Just log in, there is no need for a new one. Your garden, beds and notes stay as they are.
No account yet? Make a free one. It is an email address and a password, no card. You come straight back to this page after.

Find your order number
It is in the order confirmation email we sent when you bought the book. That email has a claim link in a green box, and if you tap it the order number is filled in for you.
You will also need the phone number or email address you used on that order.

Fill in the form and press Claim
Type the order number and the phone number or email from the order, then press Claim my 12 months.
Starter switches on straight away and the page tells you the date it runs until.

Claim your 12 months
First, log in or create a free account. The 12 months of Starter goes on your account, so we need one to put it on. A free account is an email address and a password, no card.
After that you come straight back here.
Your account
What happens to your account
It depends on the plan you are on when you claim.
On Free, or new
Your account moves to Starter for 12 months. Everything you already added stays exactly as it is. When the year is up you go back to Free, unless you choose to stay on Starter.
On a free Starter trial
Claiming stops the trial, so you are not charged when it would have ended, and you get the full 12 months of Starter instead.
Already paying for Starter or Pro
Your own plan carries on as it is. You get a gift code for 12 months of Starter instead, to pass on to someone else.
Got a gift code
Someone passed you a code? Log in, open Got a gift code instead? under the claim form, type it in and press Redeem gift.
Good to know
- Each copy of the book can be claimed once. If you ordered three copies, three different accounts can each claim a year.
- Given the book as a present? Ask the person who ordered it for the order number, or ask them to pass you the gift code if they already claimed it for you.
