When will it arrive? Printed to order, so most books reach the letterbox in about two weeks. Printing takes a few days up to about a week, then Australia Post takes about 3 to 5 days. We email your tracking number the day it is posted.
One handling charge per order. Our printer charges us $3.29 handling on every order, so we’ve had to add it to the postage. It’s the same whether you order one book or five, so adding another edition, as a gift or for a second climate zone, only adds a little extra postage.
Printed to order. You can cancel within 12 hours of ordering. After that your copy is being printed just for you, so we can’t accept change-of-mind cancellations or returns. If it arrives damaged or faulty, we’ll replace it or refund you. This doesn’t affect your rights under Australian Consumer Law. Refunds and returns

About This Almanack

The Fair Dinkum Almanack 2027 is an old-style almanack for the whole of Australia, printed in full colour across 72 pages of A5. It is made to be left on the kitchen bench or propped on the dashboard, and read a page at a time over the course of the year. The cover is a watercolour of a gum tree beside a rustic wire fence, with the sun coming up over misty hills and a small green leaf sprite seated by the post, watching the paddocks wake. The palette is warm and soft, the way a country morning looks before the heat arrives.

The heart of the book is its Sun and Moon tables. There is a line for every day of 2027, fitted to Canberra, with the moon phases and the Moon’s place in the zodiac set out so you can read them at a glance. Sunrise and sunset are given for the capitals, and a page shows you how to work out the Moon for your own town, so the tables stay useful wherever you live. If you like to know when the light comes and goes, or you plan your week around the Moon, this is the reference you will keep reaching for.

Each month has its own page. You will find the weather by lot, holidays and curiosities, an original verse, a painted scene and the Farmer’s Calendar, so every turn of the page brings something new to read. The Inigo Jones outlook for the year, by zone and season, sits in the book as well. The weather words are drawn by lot and weighted by that outlook. It is a game, not a forecast, and it is there to be enjoyed rather than relied on for the day’s plans.

Between the months you will find fair dinkum facts with their sources, household hints, Australian slang translated for newcomers and old hands alike, weather folklore, and a quiz to test the family. There is also room for your own notes, so the almanack becomes a record of your year. It is not a gardening book. For the growing side, see our Garden Year 2027 planners, one for each zone.
