What can I plant right now?
Not “at some point in spring”. Not a list written for a climate two thousand kilometres from yours. Pick your part of Australia below and you get the crops that go in the ground this month, in your zone, with a full growing guide behind every one of them.
Loading current month…
Set your postcode once and every page on the site talks to your zone from then on.
Pick your climate zone
The planting calendar is wildly different between zones. Subtropical Brisbane plants its garlic in April, cold-highland Canberra is already shovelling snow by then. Which part of Australia are you in?
Select a zone above to see what’s plantable this month.
How to use this
Pick your zone above. The panel shows the vegetables suited to plant in your zone THIS month without greenhouse protection. Each chip links to a full growing guide for that crop in your zone, including soil temperature, companion plants, and how long until harvest. The 12-month heatmap under each result shows which months work across the year, so you can plan ahead instead of finding out in November that the window was September.
Print the whole year for your zone
One page, A4, every crop against every month. Put it on the shed wall and you can leave the phone inside. Same sowing windows the guides on this site use, rebuilt every week, with the build date printed on the sheet so you can see how fresh it is.
