We had a mistake on our own almanac pages. The wording said the current month was for members only. It never was. The current month has been free to read for everyone since the almanac launched, same as every past month. Only the months still ahead of us, the ones you would use to plan several weeks out, sit behind Starter and Pro.
We have fixed the wording on both the Farmers Almanac page and the Farmers Almanac guide so it matches what the almanac actually does. The guide page had gone further, telling free readers the current month was locked and pushing a paid trial to “unlock” it. That trial pitch now points at next month’s edition instead, which is the part that is genuinely gated.
If you read the old text and held off on this month’s edition thinking you needed an account, you did not. It was open the whole time.
