The Water Smart calculator was not working. Not slow, not partly working, completely dead for every visitor who opened it. We found the cause and fixed it.
The page stores its calculator as custom HTML inside the post itself. WordPress has a habit of rewriting a plain “&&” into an HTML code when it processes that content for display, and that turned three working conditions inside the calculator’s logic into broken code the browser refused to run. One garbled line was enough to stop the whole script, so nothing on the page calculated anything, not water needs, not growth stage, not the daily litres per plant.
We rewrote those conditions so WordPress cannot touch them, then tested the calculator in a real browser with a real crop and planting date to confirm it now returns a proper number end to end.
